Everything is different again. Photography from the time of the structural change

27th September 2010 until 15th January 2012

Daily from 10 am to 6 pm

Special exhibition of the Ruhr Museum

The Ruhrgebiet experienced a rapid structural change from a former industrial area to a modern metropolis of culture and services within the last 40 years.  The special exhibition of the Ruhr Museum shows pictures of this change - ca. 300 photographs from the 1970s until today, mainly taken from the Museum's own stock. Guests can visit an impressive kaleidoscope of the region on topics like work and free time, ecology and forms of settlement in the conurbation.

The exhibition was designed by the Viennese architect Bernhard Denkinger and the Hatje Cantz Publisher Company publishes an exhibition catalogue with 448 pages and 449 illustrations.
